I’d heard the duo behind this one were masters of composition, so I took a chance blind — and the first spray confirms it, soft and almost velvety in the opening. It wears close to the skin for hours without shouting, which is exactly what I wanted for everyday office wear.

I’ve worn a lot of perfumes that start strong and then vanish, but this one keeps unfolding for hours—the drydown is where it really shines. It’s got that French craftsmanship feel, complex without being heavy.
