I wasn’t sure what to expect from a fragrance inspired by an empress, but 1826 smells like history you can wear—soft and regal without being stuffy. It lingers close to the skin for hours, which suits me perfectly.

The bottle feels heavy and elegant in my hand, like a piece of history. I love that it’s tied to Empress Eugénie’s story, and the scent lingers for hours without being overpowering.

I wore it to a museum visit and couldn’t stop catching whiffs of something elegant yet grounded — the story behind the Eugénie inspiration really comes through in the composition. The sillage is noticeable but not loud, which is exactly what I wanted for everyday wear.
